UN sustainability goal number 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions promotes just, peaceful and inclusive societies. In view with other sustainability goals such as life on land it is important to address violence and cruelty against all living beings. This project explores the cruelty and violence faced by street dogs in Sri Lanka.

Design Proposition

The proposition is to design a project that sits within fictional and speculative design in the form of a designed future narrative and interactive program. This would be presented to the target audience through a printed zine publication, a launch campaign aswell as a website. By demonstrating alternative ways of being of street dogs through the re-imagination of authority, the project aims to create a space for conversation within the community living within the western province of Sri Lanka, around the

cruelty and negative attitudes towards the street dogs and its implications.

Deliverables & Functionality

1. Publication design in the form of a zine - The would be the key platform to distribute the designed narrative into the hands of the target audience.

2. Website – This platform reiterate the speculative program and will be used to reconnect the target audience to the real world by presenting activities they and organisations that help street dogs.

3. Launch Campaign - This would be separated into three sections. Pre launch, launch and post launch activities and graphical elements that would be present throughout the city that would promote the fictitious and speculative design and the future state of the country and drive audiences to take a look at the zine and website.

Conceptual Framework + Stakeholder Map
